Pastor Matt Scott
Matt Scott is the founding pastor of The Gathering Place Church in Moody, AL .
TGP is known for its life-giving culture and focus to lead people into a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Pastor Matt and the TGP leadership have a deep desire to see every person reach their full potential in Christ. This is why TGP Church offers a clear pathway for every member to know God, experience freedom, be empowered/equipped, and be deployed to change the world.
Matt is also passionate about linking arms with other churches and leaders. As the Director of Acts One Eight (A18), he works with numerous global ministry leaders to strengthen and equip pastors and churches. By offering training, practical resources, coaching, and helping churches develop a local and global missions strategy, A18 seeks to see the world reached for Jesus Christ by a God-empowered network of churches.
Pastor Matt and his wife Stevi have five children and live in Moody, Alabama where TGP Church was planted in 2011.
Ross Hendricks
Ross is the director of TGPSM. He graduated from UAB with a BSN in 2011 and a MSN in 2014. Ross has been in various ministry roles since 2019. He obtained a certificate of ministry leadership from TGPSM. He has a passion for international missions particularly the continent of Asia and is currently a staff member of e3 missions. Ross has a passion for prayer and intercession. He and his wife Amanda live in Vestavia, AL and have been married since 2016. Ross enjoys traveling, golfing, fishing, and hunting.
Stevi Scott
Stevi is a mom of 5 children, a pastors wife, and director of Prayer Ministry Sessions. The cry of her heart is to help people hear the voice of God and find inner healing and deliverance through prayer. She loves foreign missions, beach vacations, hiking, reading and drinking coffee.
Eric Eason
Eric graduated from Virginia College with a Bachelors in Business Management in 2006 and an MBA in 2007. He received a certificate of ministry leadership from Highlands College in 2015 and TGPSM in 2019. Eric serves in various capacities at TGP and has a passion for seeing the great commission being fulfilled both individually and collectively as the body of Christ. He has been married to his wife April since 2005 and they two children, Danielle and Isaac.
Brett Staggs
Brett Staggs is the Director of Family Ministries at the Gathering Place Church. He started attending TGP when he was a freshman in high school and has been a part of the family ever since. He has a certificate of Leadership in Ministry from Highlands College and was a graduate of the pilot form of TGPSM. Brett is married to Kayla Staggs who is a teacher in the Moody School System.
